This is a two part course. Days 1 & 2 are focused on training, days 3-5 are focused on adventure.

Day One is an immersive learning experience covering those essential skills needed in a 4wd. We look at vehicle preparation and preservation, basic 4WD driving techniques, respectful trail behavior, fundamental recovery procedures, and Tread Lightly.

Day Two narrows the focus to 4wd driving techniques and recovery procedures. We spend the day looking at narrow concepts and their broad application. Plan for plenty of seat time and lots of hands on application.

Days 3-5 are all adventure. We do not have a set schedule and will instruct as things appear in the wild. We have private land areas where we will schedule field training activities that haven’t appeared or we didn’t reach during day 1 or 2. We’ll focus on instructing trail navigation and obstacle analysis while you learn to anticipate your vehicle's response in various conditions. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, new vehicle owners, or old dogs wanting new tricks responsibly explore the world using 4WD.
